Eagles Hold Out Hawks in Philly

Philadelphia Hawks played host to the Baltimore/Washington Eagles on Saturday, September 8th at FDR Park. The Eagles got off to a good start kicking the first couple of goals leaving the Hawks very tentative with their leads from the forward line and a little disorganized running the ball out of defence. On the other hand, the Eagles played like a team, beating the Hawks around the packs and combining well when they won possession out of defence.

Although the Hawks had the better of the Eagles in the ruck, they weren't able to take advantage and after a slow first half, stayed with the Eagles for the second half, linking up better in defence but unfortunately not able to trouble the scoreboard too much.

A very good win to the Eagles, played well all day. Best for the Eagles were Stuart Ritchie, Aaron Pritchard and Vice Captain Chris Carroll. Coach Matt Bishop led goal kickers with 4.
